RE: FpML-BP Call for comments: trade execution messages



I agree that this message is poorly named, especially because you I believe could issue a quote for reasons other than a quote request (RFQ).

 

When we put this together we weren’t seeking to re-engineer the pre-trade messages, merely to adjust them to fit in with the new proposal.

TradeExecution is fine.

IMHO it would be more intuitive to name "RequestQuoteResponse" as "Quote". A non-quote response would be of a different type.
