FpML-BP minutes teleconference 2008-05-21

Participants

Lucio Iida (BGI)

Francoise Massin (SWIFT)

Banu Apers (SWIFT)

Marc Gratacos (ISDA)

1. Adjusting the Portfolio Reconciliation messages to support Contracts

Agreement to implement proposal as suggested adjusting the position definition to be able to reconcile and report contracts.

Francoise states that the difference between contract and trade needs to be clarified in the FpML documentation.

2. Option Exercise/Expiry http://www.fpml.org/issues/view.php?id=669

·         Agreed to include Rejected messages for full and partial exercises

·         The Rejected messages should include a reason field.

·         The Option identifier should include a choice between trade reference and contract reference.

·         The Option identifier should not require the productId element. It should be made optional.

·         The Full exercise request should optionally include the exercise amounts

3. AOB

·         Lucio asked about the contract amended message. Marc said that there was a long discussion about it in the CUG group and the conclusion was that only terminations and novations were the subtypes of amendments that should be covered by messaging.

Next meeting will be June 4th.
