Participants Simone Milani Foglia (LCH) - Chair Oliver Salmon (LCH) Richard Haslock (MarkitSERV) Harry McAllister (BNPP) Irina Yermakova (ISDA) Andrew Jacobs (UBS) Devansh Rastogi (DTCC) Clare Gehrhardt (DTCC) Stephen Turner (JPM) Apologies Christina Yeung (GS) Minutes 1. AJ presented to the group a proposal for adding an optional tenor element to all FX products in all views (http://www.fpml.org/_wgmail/_fxwgmail/msg00237.html). Key findings where: a. A structure designed to hold a tenor was added to fxSingleLeg and fxSwap the reporting view of FpML 5.2. The group decided to replace it with the new proposed structure. This is a non backward compatible change therefore it will require approval from the Coordination Committee to either deprecate the original structure or remove it completely. IY mentioned that if there is no record of an implementation using the old structure, instead of deprecating it, we could ask the Coordination and Standards Committees for permission to amend FpML 5.2 (currently FpML 5.2REC is open for other changes) b. The values contained in the FxTenorPeriodEnum enumeration have been corrected (spaces removed in Tomorrow Next and Spot Next); this is also a non backward compatible change The proposal was approved pending the change of namedTenor to tenorNamed (in line with other names), the addition of the new element tenorNamed to the TermDeposit product and the removal of the extra tenorPeriod structure at the top level of the FxSwap product. For reusability AJ will also consider creating a group model for the choice of tenorPeriod and tenorNamed Please let the group know ASAP of any objections regarding the tenor proposal. If no objections have been raised by COB February 9th, the proposal will be added to FpML 5.3 LCWD 2. The group briefly discussed requirements coming from the HKMA and the associated proposal from HM. The decision was that the proposal as it is does not cover enough ground. HM will get in touch with Daniel Ruperto from GS and update the proposal Actions HM: Update the HKMA proposal Next meeting: Next meeting is scheduled for 10:30 NYT on Thursday 9th of February 2012. Actions All: Let the group know ASAP of any objections regarding the tenor proposal AJ: Revise the tenor proposal and merge back into the trunk HM: Get in touch with Daniel Ruperto from GS and update the proposal SMF: Raise the 2 non backward compatible changes to the Coordination WG Carried Over Actions All: Notify the group of any requirements for product additions Regards, Simone *************************************************************************************************
