IRDWG,
Would it make sense to look at retro-fitting the IRD Swaption schema on the back of the option work completed as part of the working draft for Fpml version 4.3 (see attached)? We now have a framework in place that should ideally support all option types. I don't think it would take a great deal of effort and I'm happy to do the work (to me at least it seems like a logical and strategic thing to do).
I realise it would have to be as part of a major release (5.0).

ISDA has published the third Working Draft for FpML Version 4.3.
This Working Draft is available on the FpML website in the Specifications section at: http://www.fpml.org/spec/2007/wd-fpml-4-3-2007-07-05/
The following is an overview of the changes compared with the second Working Draft for version 4.3 which was published in May:
Credit Derivatives:
- Added support for Options on Credit Default Swaps
Bond Options:
- Added support for Bond and Convertible Bond Options
Equity Derivatives:
- Added support for Dividend Swaps
Architecture:
- Flagging of deprecated features using annotations
Repo:
- 4.3 Second working draft coverage has been taken out for further review by the working group
The following coding Schemes have been updated:
- Master Confirmation Type scheme
- Product Type scheme
