Trial Recommendation of FpML Version 5.2
ISDA has published the Trial Recommendation for FpML Version 5.2. The Trial Recommendation is available on the FpML website in the Specifications section at: http://www.fpml.org/spec/fpml-5-2-4-tr-1/
The following is an overview of the changes compared with the FpML 5.2 Last Call Working Draft which was published on July 29, 2011:
- Reporting and Business Process:
- Regulatory reporting coverage in Transparency and Recordkeeping views has been removed from this version, as agreed by the FpML Standards Committee, as they are pending finalized regulations.

Message Framework:
- Improved the compressionActivity structure to report trade amalgamation (netting, compression).
- Improved the mechanism to handle portfolio-type business processes (portfolioReference).
- The cardinality of the correlation ID was reverted to 0..1 (optional and can occur once at most).
- Regulatory reporting coverage in Transparency and Recordkeeping views has been removed from this version, as agreed by the FpML Standards Committee, as they are pending finalized regulations.
