Summary

There is a problem in FpML business 'object' identification. Two messages about the same 'object' might not have a shared identifier, but a third messages contains the identifiers used in the first and second message. This requires us to day to link the first and second messages based on the new knowledge.

This is complex processing. I believe it was unintentional and is an inadvertent requirement.

Please consider simplifying this.

This is equivalent to one of the cases previously identified as an identification issue by the MTF (identifier merging). The general issue is currently under discussion by the MTF.

    • FpML defines multiple business identifiers for the same object. For example, trade Ids, instrument ids, etc. It’s up to the implementers to identify which ones are the relevant identifiers for the implementation.
    • The issue can be closed.
