The group meets regularly 2 No active development of new features requiring extensive schema changes is on-going, but the group continues to be available to address issues and maintain the spec (e.g. add new coding scheme values, correct errors, and new minor tweaks and variations that don’t require extensive discussion) 3 A group oriented to evaluating an application of the specification and developing implementation guidelines as well as providing feedback to other working groups. User groups do not in general develop new features in the FpML schema. A user group is more likely to be required where FpML users are communicating directly with each other (peer to peer) rather than using a central service offering to perform the functions. 4 The group is no longer able to provide a quorum of members and/or a chair to support its area of the standard. New members are not permitted. |

Join a Working Group
When the Standards Committee decides to form a new working group, based on the interest expressed through various channels and the availability of an initial proposal, a call for participation in an FpML Working Group will be issued to allow interested parties from various industries to participate in this working group. To Join a Working Group fill out the Join a Working Group Form. For more information, see the respective working groups and the press section.

Propose a New Group
FpML® monitors interest in asset classes, functionality and non-product topics through various channels. An important source of information is the Call for Interest Form, where we ask you to indicate your interest in future developments of the FpML standard. The standards committee regularly reviews the results of the call for interest and will suggest a new group whenever approriate. The roadmap can be used to set the content of future work in relation to current work and achievements.
