3 Issues

The following issues are known in the FpML 5.3 Recommendation, 19 October 2012:

3.1 Transparency View: fpml-com.xsd; fpml-asset.xsd -> Commodity product area

Description: In the Transparency View, fpml-com.xsd; fpml-asset.xsd-> CommodityProduct.model. Some products, including but not limited to Commodity Products are still under review for requirements under the CFTC Part 43 (real-time reporting – which corresponds to FpML Transparency View schema set). In order to not cause delay to the publication of FpML 5-3 REC, which includes other critical areas related to the Regulatory Reporting (e.g. Confirmation, Reporting and Recordkeeping view), the Standards Committee voted in favor of the publication of FpML 5-3 Recommendation with an indication that the 5.4 Transparency view will most likely not be backward compatible with 5.3 Recommendation.
Disposition: Non backward compatible changes in FpML-5-4's Transparency View are possible. A note will be added to FpML version 5.3 Recommendation indicating this.

3.2 Transparency and Recordkeeping Views: fpml-eqd.xsd; eq-shared.xsd; fpml-dividend-swaps.xsd, fpml-correlation-swaps.xsd; fpml-variance-swaps.xsd; fpml-return-swaps.xsd; fpml-asset.xsd -> Equity product area

Description: In the Transparency and Recordkeeping Views, Equity products are still under review for requirements under Real-time and Regulatory reporting – which corresponds to FpML Transparency and Recordkeeping View schema sets. The Equity product changes in Transparency and Recordkeeping views will not be backward compatible with 5.3 Recommendation.
Disposition: Non-backward compatible changes in FpML-5-4's Transparency and Recordkeeping Views are possible.

4 Build Number

The current build number for FpML 5.3 Recommendation, 19 October 2012. is: 8

Every time there is a change on the schema, validation rules, or examples within a version the actual build number is incremented. If no changes have been made between releases within a version (i.e. from Trial Recommendation to Recommendation) the actual build number stays the same. The build number is published at:
