Summary
See attached Word file containing the description of the issue.
The AWG has agreed that no changes will be made to the naming of the current messages in FpML 5.0 although the documentation and internal schema type heirarchy should be reviewed to see if any improvement can be made. The attached spreadsheet summarizes the voting of the members on the call and those who registered an opinion by mail beforehand.
I will report the groups position to the standards committee next week. The group will meet again in two weeks to review the message type hierarchy.
Use this section to formally log validated discrepancies, agreed‑upon schema enhancements, or change requests that require Working Group review.
Before submitting an issue, please ensure the topic has been discussed in the FpML Community Hub.
Forum discussions help confirm the nature of the problem, shape the proposal, and build early consensus—greatly improving the clarity and efficiency of the formal issue‑resolution process.
Issues raised here will progress through the appropriate Working Groups and committees as part of the structured governance process.
By registering you will be able to submit corrections and comments, generate reports, and view the complete issues archive for FpML.
