Summary

It is impossible to reliably implement the FpML coding schemes because they are defined as being of arbitrary length.

Implement the facets so a maximum length is established for coding scheme values.

Assigning to AWG, so AWG can continue its discussion on the topic.

    AWG 2008-05-15 decision:

AWG defines an absolute limit of coding schemes values and URIs of 255 but AWG recommends not having coding scheme values or URIs longer than 127 characters.

AWG defines a limit for the FpML published schemes at 63 characters.

New Scheme type has been created:

The base class for all types which define coding schemes.

All ‘scheme’ types are now an extension of the Scheme simple type.

This has been implemented in the trunk and it will be published in the first wd for version 4.5.
